Description
Selected titles from the private collection of a music business veteran are now being made available for the first time. Titles offered by this Seller are one-owner and came directly from the pressing plant, record company warehouse, other label reps or record store unless otherwise noted.
Grading is based on visual inspection.
Album ships in a 2 MIL poly cover sleeve and poly inner sleeve.
I package records outside the cover to avoid seam splits.
- What's Shakin' is a compilation album released by Elektra Records in June 1966. It features the earliest studio recordings by the Lovin' Spoonful and the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, as well as the only released recordings by the ad hoc studio group Eric Clapton and the Powerhouse, until they were reissued years later.This album was not a hit but quickly became, and still is, a cult classic.
- This is the 1968 Stereo version of an album that was originally released in Mono in 1966. Elektra used the original left over Mono album jackets (with the mono selection number) and put a gold "Stereo" sticker on the front.
- The record says stereo and has the stereo selection number, EKS-74002.
- It is the First Pressing of the stereo version.
- The matrix runout is RE.
- The heavy vinyl record with the original gold Elektra label has a spindle mark on each side but the playing surfaces are very clean.
- The single piece board cover has two tight seams and a 1" split on the top. There is one corner bump.
- The inner sleeve is also an original Elektra sleeve design that had been used since the late fifties. I have included a soft poly inner sleeve.
- Seller got this new in his store in 1968. It has been in storage for 47 years.
