Here's ANNETTE HANSHAW with two of the better songs from 1929: "WHEN THE WORLD IS AT REST" and "IN A GREAT BIG WAY" She's accompanied by THE CONNECTICUT YANKEES, which of course, is Rudy Vallée's band! Rudy is present on his alto sax (I'll state for the record that he was a VERY good saxophonist), and all the other guys who collectively waxed such masterpieces as "Outside," and "Deep Night." Annette, as usual, is lovely and impeccable, the voice that launched a thousand rabid shellac fiends!
This original 1929 Velvet-Tone 1832-V is in nice V++ condition: a little dull in the surface, but plays extremely well.

These records come from my private collection, which I have been accumulating since 1967, and now am downsizing! I always post at least four clear images, showing the record fore and aft, a close-up of the label, and the whole disc, warts and all. If my purple prose won’t cut it, the pictures will!
