Full Third Man Records Vault Package #1.
Very hesitant sale - I was and remain to be a big ‘Stripes fan but as a student I find myself needing the money more than the memories.
If I’m going to be brutally honest, I signed up to the Vault as a teenager and regret to admit it now but I didn’t take the best care of my records. I understand that this is a concern to most buyers and I’m happy to provide further photos, information etc to anybody who requires it. I included as many photos as I could in the listing but unfortunately hit my 12 pic limit. I will try to give as many details below as possible.
The price I’ve listed this item at is really just to deter resellers who won’t bother reading the description - I know it’s perhaps rather silly but I’d rather this go to a fan who maybe just wants to complete their collection of Vault packages. I’m happy to consider offers.
The White Stripes - Icky Thump 12” - only played a few times but has some marks and slight scratches that I’ve tried to show in photos. Gatefold sleeve. Cover has some wear/rubbing to the sides but nothing major to the front or back, as it has been kept in a protective plastic sleeve for the past few years.
The Dead Weather - Forever My Queen 7” - in slightly better condition than the 12” with only a couple marks/scratches. Again, have tried to show them in the pictures. Sleeve is pretty much as it was received which is remarkable given the fact it’s literally just a folded bit of paper.
TMR T-shirt - ladies L. Has a loose thread on the back of the neck that was present when it arrived. Has been worn a few times.
UPDATE: Since listing I’ve listened to the records and I’m actually really pleasantly surprised by how nicely they play.
Both records have a little static/noise, but this is only particularly noticeable on quieter songs (like Martyr For My Love For You) played at high volume and would likely be softened by proper/professional cleaning. No skipping or jumping on any songs, just one slight click during Conquest and another on Catch Hell Blues.
As I say, I’m surprised by how great it actually sounds. By no means is it unplayable and I don’t feel like the overall experience is affected.
Postage cost includes tracking and cover for the full amount of sale (up to £500). I’m also happy to deliver within 30 miles or arrange collection.
