THE WHO - WHO'S NEXT including rare Headhunters Inner A1/B2 MATRIX Year 1971: Cat: 2408 102
- On offer here is a superb first press with the famous Headhunters inner that was withdrawn soon after issue.
- The single cardboard sleeve which is very prone to wear is the very earliest issue, complete with the obscured number in the clouds at very top left. The pleated spine is intact and quite legible with very little flattening at all. Top edge has virtually no signs of wear whilst the bottom edge has some rubbing through the colour with wear to the bottom front corner. The sleeve opening has no feathering. Rear of the sleeve is fine apart from a sticker removal mark at top right.. I have critically graded the sleeve as EX-.
- The Headhunters polylined inner looks great and is flat with very little signs of creasing and no marks or writing. There is a small paper seam split at the bottom but the poly lining is still fully intact Inner Graded EX-
- The thick vinyl has a great gloss and looks hardly played, whilst the Track labels are pristine with no wear and just a couple spindle trails. MG 1288D is inscribed in the dead wax. Under strong light there is a spider line on Side 1 which runs from track 2 to the beginning of Track 4. This does not affect play apart from a few pops bridging tracks 3 and 4. Side 2 has a very small mark at the beginning of Track 1 which can just be heard for about a minute. However the overall listening experience from this first press is superb. Visually and playgraded EX .

My records are graded in accordance with Record Collector's Grading System as follows:
EXCELLENT (EX): The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD (VG): The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD (G): The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etc

All LP's are sent in a new mailer with two stiffeners. Certificate of posting obtained from Post Office on all items.
