Description
WIGWAM “Being” Original 1974 Finland LOVE Prog Psych lp!
1974/Finland/Love Records LRLP 92….. here’s a rare slightly later Finland pressing of this excellent prog gem. The fully laminated non gatefold second issue cover is in solid clean condition with light wear on the corner tips, slight shelf wear, a couple of short light crease top right edge, otherwise the cover is solid and clean with no splits. The vinyl is in VG++ condition with a few light inaudible hairlines and small scuffs and storage stains/blemishes from being kept in a poly bag inner sleeve. The record plays clean with very light occasional noise which is noticeable mainly between tracks. The record plays with nice clean fidelity. This copy includes the M- custom printed inner sleeve. Please check my listings for other rock, garage and psych lp’s. Good luck and thanks for looking!

Wigwam was founded after the split of the seminal Blues Section, with whom drummer Ronnie Österberg had played before. He formed the band as a trio, but soon brought in British expatriate singer/songwriter Jim Pembroke (also in BS) and organist Jukka Gustavson. A year later, Pekka Pohjola joined on bass. Kim Fowley produced Wigwam's second album Tombstone Valentine (1970). This album also featured an excerpt of Erkki Kurenniemi's electronic composition 'Dance of the Anthropoids'. The 1974 album Being is often called Wigwam's masterpiece. After its release, though, Pohjola and Gustavson quit the band. Commercially the most successful Wigwam album must be the more pop-oriented Nuclear Nightclub that followed in 1975, with new members Pekka Rechardt on guitar and Måns Groundstroem on bass.

GRADING
MINT: I consider only New Unplayed or Sealed items.
M- or Mint Minus, very clean with clean visual appearance and sound, there may be a couple of light inaudible hairline scuffs or such and will be mentioned in the listing, a Mint- record looks and plays clean. Same for the cover. Very clean with no delete or other issues.
EXCELLENT: still very collectable for most, visually and sonicly clean. A handful of light inaudible scuffs, or hairlines. Cover will be clean with little wear, or delete. No splits.
VG++ still a very nice copy with minimal wear, the vinyl will retain it's original gloss and can have a few minor scuffs/scratches that don't affect play very much. Cover will have slight shelf wear, and or delete, minor split.
VG+ the vinyl will still retain much original gloss with a bit more scuffs and/or scratches I may list a very rare or desirable item with a lower grade, I will try to list all defects.
