Description
WILBERT BARANCO Baranco Boogie/Rosetta/Blues In C# Minor/Lil' Victor's Boogie TOPS MASTERPIECES E 530 - 4-track EP w/Charles Mingus - super rare killer boogie woogie-bop piano jazz - Wilbert Baranco (1909 – 1983) was an American jazz pianist and bandleader. He played with Curtis Mosby in the early 1930s and then put together his own bands in the 1930s and 1940s, including several military bands during World War II. He recorded with Ernie Andrews in Los Angeles in 1945, and led a trio which included Charles Mingus around that time as well. He served as the accompanist for Dinah Washington when she sang with the Lucky Thompson All-Stars. Some time after the war he put together an ensemble known as Wilbert Baranco & His Rhythm Bombardiers, composed of former servicemen; this group recorded with, among others, Vic Dickenson, Dizzy Gillespie, and Willie "The Lion" Smith. He also recorded in the 1940s with Jackie Kelson and Snooky Young. He became a music teacher after the 1940s.

GRADING:
SS (Still Sealed) - Never opened. (I do not believe in grading opened LPs or 45s as "Mint". A "Mint" record is still sealed.)
NM (Near Mint) - a near perfect, probably unplayed record. might be dusty or have a light fingerprint, but has no marks that can be seen.
NM- (Near Mint minus) - absolutely clean with at most a few very superficial marks that have no effect on playback.
VG++ - Super clean and very lightly played.
VG+ (Very Good Plus) - the record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little deterioration in sound quality.
VG (Very Good) - a well used copy. There will be obvious signs of wear and the possibility of light surface noise between tracks or during quiet passages. A VG record may have very small marks that can be felt, but feelable marks will always be specifically noted in my listings)
VG- (Very Good minus) - significant wear and marks and usually quite noticeable surface noise. music still dominates over any background noise or pops.
G (good) - still a playable record without jumps or marks that stick, but a record in this condition will have significant surface noise, pops and other distractions.
