Description
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING: Please read the entire auction listing, including shipping costs, before writing to ask a question. OUR GOAL IS CUSTOMER SATISFACTION. In order to meet that goal, we will ALWAYS work with our customers on any concerns that may arise. In the unlikely instance that you feel the need to open a resolution dispute before working with us, you will immediately be blocked from any further chance to acquire the rare music we present each and every week. Payment is required within seven days. We mail all paid items ONE WEEK after auctions end. Please keep in mind our listings are time consuming in detail and we are often traveling to find these gems, which at times delays the delivery schedule by a day or two. We ALWAYS process and ship every paid order. We have no control over parcels once they are mailed from our local Post Office.Overseas mail to some countries (Italy, Russia, France, in particular) has became very slow. Opening a dispute for slow mail is unacceptable and will result in blocking the bidder. We work hard to provide excellent service as is represented by our 8000 plus positive feedback. We use a VPI machine and thoroughly clean all records. Each order is carefully packaged by removing the LP from the jacket to avoid seam splits, use of 3 ml plastic cover sleeves over each LP and jacket, cardboard pad inserts, and placed in sturdy record mailers for safe delivery. We take Customer Service seriously, and want you to be satisfied. Please give us 5 stars in each category through the feedback system, and we will be able to effectively continue to fulfill your passion for rare and collectible music! We have served thousands of satisfied customers - far more than our feedback records indicate - and our aim is to continue to do so. Thank you for your interest and support. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ SHIPPING: USA ~ 1 LP $4.00 Media; 2-4 discs $5.00; .50 each additional disc Priority rates vary by area; please inquire. SUPER RARE.... RAW AND ALIVE
1966 POUNDING GARAGE JAMMERS!
THE ESCORTS
Bringing Down The House
\ USA - (CUSTOM LABEL) TEO RECORDS - LPD 5000
TOP COPY !! seen lesser copies go for $300+
RARE....Original 1966 first pressing vinyl of a strong GARAGE teen-scene local Virginia effort ...very much like the groups on the famous JUSTICE label, as great and or/better with a cool raw throughout...highlights are everywhere -- great energetic thrash/vibe on tracks like a snotty "Gloria", and heated drivers like "Shout (pts 1 & 2), "Out Of Sight" and "Turn On Your Love Light"...as well as beer guzzling '65 era frat sounds of the day... the Escorts did bring an admirable sense of enthusiasm to their performances and lead guitarist Nick Colleran turned in several nice performances (he nailed Roger McGuinn's 12 string performance on their cover of Drylan's 'Mr. Tambourine Man'). Other highlights includes a nice 'These Arms of Mine' and a stomping slurred "Louie Louie"... In spite of the fact it was recorded live with extremely primitive equipment (four microphones recorded straight on to a two track tape), the sound was surprisingly crisp and clear. Musically the set compared favorably to better known garage bands such as The Ace's, The Embers, The Invaders (or just about any group signed to Justice Records).

CONDITION: The Cover: After 45 years, strong, colorful and stiff all over, a beautiful TOP COPY cover at M- ...no one disapointed here... no split seams, no bends, no writing...you can't hope to find a better copy...
The Vinyl: Very clean and glossy over both sides, there are a couple/three minor short hairlines so will rate VG++ but really, a primitive local rarity from 1966 looking and playing THIS clean is nothing short of remarkable...clean custom labels too...
A cool addition to anyone's music library!
