Description

Willem Nyland - 'Piano Studies, Series 163'

Gage Hill Press. Private pressing

One in a series of obscure 1960's home-recorded improv piano pieces from chemist Willem Nyland, a disciple of mystic George Ivanovich Gurdjieff and friend of Timothy Leary, who provided the Steinway piano used in these recordings.

Though this is (hand) labeled on the disc label as "163", this was apparently the first of Nyland's Piano Studies releases.

Vinyl condition:

Strong VG+ (shiny disc with a hairline scratch and paper sleeve scuffs; disc kept in an audiophile inner sleeve)

Jacket Condition

VG+ (repaired seam split)

Both domestic and international buyers will receive a combined shipping discount for multiple purchases

All records visually graded only, unless otherwise specified. Email with any questions

On Sep-23-11 at 12:34:42 PDT, seller added the following information:

Correction: This disc is actually numbered "164", NOT "163". This would still be the initial Nyland release, regardless.
