Description
ARTIST: WILLIAM ONYEABOR
TITLE: GREAT LOVER
LABEL: WILFILMS
COUNTRY: NIGERIA
YEAR: 1981
Cool and characteristically quirky release from the master of Afro-Electro Funk, William Onyeabor!
(Sorry I had to end the earlier auction, folks... There were some problems with the listing that eBay said were impossible to revise without deleting the entire thing!)
CONDITION (JACKET/VINYL): G/VG
Jacket has considerable wear and dirt but is intact (and impressively not discolored, as the jackets on most copies of this record usually have a greenish discoloration due to poor color separation at the printers). Vinyl is nice and shiny and in very good shape but for some light marks.

ATTENTION: Just as was the case with the copy of Crashes in Love I have listed now, I later decided that the quality being offered was not good enough and so I chose to replace it with a copy from my personal collection so as to avoid you nice bidders. So again, take note of the correction:
THE RECORD BEING OFFERED HERE IS VG+!!!! THE JACKET IS THE SAME.
NOTE: The VG+ grade applies mostly to the VISUAL aspect of the record. Sound-wise it is still a little crackly in spots because this is the well-mastered and least well-pressed of all William Onyeabor's LPs, so it is really hard to find a copy that sounds perfect. Still it's pretty good. Bid with confidence!

Obviously, it is very difficult to find these rare African records in perfect condition these days--many of them have been stored for more than a decade in humid warehouses in a tropical climate--but we strive to bring you the best quality possible under the circumstances and use fairly strict grading and detailed descriptions so that you know exactly what you are bidding on--and getting!

GOOD LUCK!!! On May-11-13 at 18:58:27 PDT, seller added the following information:
PLEASE NOTE: When I wrote "The Jacket Is the Same," I meant that it is the same G jacket previously described and shown in the photo above NOT that the jacket is VG+ like the record.
