Description

This is the 33SX 1758 original Mono Columbia (Lansdowne Series) record of William Russo’s London Jazz Orchestra of ‘Stonehenge’. The matrix are side one XAX 2774-1U there is a letter G on that side also. Side two is XAX 2775-1U and again a letter G and also in the label near the hole are M and T embossed. 
It is one of the Jazz collection I have inherited from my late husband. It has been stored since 1990. 
The vinyl is shiny and bright but it does have a scratch on side one which in on the first track. (See photo) The track plays fine, without slurring or hesitation, but there is a click which repeats as the needle goes over the scratch each revolution. I haven’t cleaned it so I don’t know if it can be repaired but I doubt it.  The rest of the vinyl is perfect and plays perfectly. It’s such a shame about that damage.
 The labels are mint and have hardly any spindle marks. 
The cover is very good/excellent. It is an Ernest Day wrap around cover. There is some ring marking where it has been stored but the spine is excellent and the corners are also excellent. There are a few wrinkles of the film near the opening and slight bend marks along the spine edge. The reverse is discoloured with age but apart from that is in excellent condition. It has the original ’Emitex’ lining which again is excellent apart from the age discolouration.
