SNOOPY'S comment

I’M THE FIXER – Willie Mabon (1965/UK Sue)

Blues singer Mabon struck gold with his first two releases for Chess back in ‘52/’53 – ‘I Don’t Know’ and ‘I’m Mad’ which both rocketed to No.1 in the R&B chart. He continued to release singles up until the early Seventies. ‘I’m The Fixer’ was originally released as the B-side of ‘Too Hot To Handle’ which was released on the USA label in 1963.The B-side on this release is part of Mabon's slightly suggestive series beginning with "Got To Have Some", "Just Got Some", and "Some More" [etc].  Its issue as an A-side in the UK on the collectable Sue label in ’65 makes it one that graces many a Wants List.
