Description
Willie Nix on RPM 327 from 1951 - Lonesome Bedroom Blues / Try Me One More Time in E grade.
Great rocking blues from Willie Nix who unfortunately only issued 4 other 78s on Sun, Chance, Checker and Sabre all of which I will be listing apart from the Chance in various grades. One of my favourite artists and if you don't have records by him you should check him out as although he died in 1991 his ouput very small and the records issued on the 5 different labels between 1951 and 1954 are really great stuff and don't turn up that often.
As a record collector I focus on how a record sounds so the records I am listing are playgraded using a 78 stylus without any filters or adjustments although the look of the record will also be included in the description.I use the VJM grading system but highest grade I use is E+ and the lowest is G+ unless the record is so rare that a G copy would be of interest to collectors so the grading range used is E+/E/E-/V+/V/V-/G+.
Visually the record is in excellent condition with great gloss and just a couple of scuffs not affecting play and plays superbly with great fidelity so grades E. I have been collecting 78s for some time and know how to pack records properly. Ask all questions before bidding as all sales final but please note I travel a lot for business so it might take a little while to get back to you so don't leave any questions to the last minute. Check out the other blues 78s I am listing on various labels including Chance,Flame, Sun, Imperial, Checker, Sabre, Gone, Veejay, Chief, JOB, Elko, Red Robin.
