The long-awaited analog version of the Japan Edition of Willie The Kid's The Fly 2.0; the Japan Edition qualifier is technically redundant, however, as the Michigan rapper's Fly 2.0 album was itself produced as a Japan-only project in 2011, coinciding with a worldwide tour that year. A hidden underground hip-hop opus of otherwise incomparable quality, The Fly 2.0 mixes the august braggadocios and machismos of '10s-era pop-rap with a subtly experimental production bent, with production credits to the likes of Lee Bannon and The Alchemist being of of especial note here. Full of experimental beats and weird playings-on/amplifications of bling-era megalomania, this is a retrospective reissue like no other, one that deserves all the consideration it can get a full decade on.
