This stunning record features the Choir of Grace Cathedral singing music for Easter, Ascension and Pentecost, directed by John Fenstermaker, John Renke on organ.
David Wilson of Wilson Audiophile utilized two Schoeps tranformerless omnidirectional condenser microphones for the audio capture, after testing microphone configurations for some 14 months.
That said, half-speed mastering was performed at the JVC Cutting Center, flawless stampers were made by Sheffield Lab, and pressing was done on Swedish Alpha Toolex presses.
To boot, reference equipment used at the time, for listening, included Dahlquist DQ-10a, RTR ESR-15 electrostatics, Magneplanar Tympani 1D, and KEF-105 loudspeakers.
The end result in your listening room, I promise you, is simply startling. Cover of this rare gem is without fault, crisp; heavy platter inside is near mint.
