Description

For auction is a near mint copy of W 8824, a Wilson Audiophile album entitled Center Stage, with Lowell Graham conducting the National Symphonic Winds.   The album is in near mint condition, with the cover still wrapped in cellophane, price tag affixed, original sleeve and album all near mint or better.   This is a famous and rare recording.  It is on the Absolute Sound list of great recordings.   It is a stunning performance with incredible analog sonics.  This is the type of album you can use to convert people from cd to vinyl or show an mp3 addicted young person a piece of real music.  Bid often and early, this album typically goes for over $100 and sells for $200 if sealed.

I have played this album on my Rega based system and it is sonically excellent, with normal surface noise but no significant sonic flaws.  This album is really something.

This album comes from the collection of an elderly audiophile in my family.  This album has been in storage for the last 15 years and was played on a Linn Sondek LP12 before that.   The owner of this album took meticulous care of all his albums and that is reflected in the condition of this album.  The collection from which I am selling this album is over 1300 albums and I have sold roughly 600 to date (to private parties, not via ebay) , without a single complaint.  Indeed, the purchasers of this collection has thus far been delighted with these albums.  I rate albums conservatively and do not remotely exaggerate their condition.

Please check my other auctions.  I will be selling two hundred premium records over the next month.  These include RCA Living Stereo, RCA Victrola, EMI, London ffss, Decca, Phillips,  Argo, Chesky, and Reference Recordings.  There will be several rare and desirable recordings.

I pack carefully and ship fast.  I ship albums in special LP shipping cartons.

Flat shipping in the US is $4 via US Media Mail.   Shipping to other countries is the actual cost of shipping along with a $1 fee to cover the cost of the shipping carton and packing supplies.  I absorb the cost of insurance on any album over $50.

Payment is via Paypal only.  I expect payment within 12 hours of the completion of an auction and will offer items to secondary bidders if payment is not received within 24 hours.  I use Paypal because it speeds transactions and allows me to ship quickly.

Note for International Buyers:  I ship only to countries specified.  I always report items accurately on customs paperwork.   Thank you.
