WILSON PICKETT IN THE MIDNIGHT HOUR Original 1966 - classic LP ATLANTIC 587032 / MONO
PRICE REDUCTION
Vinyl is in very good+ / excellent condition (only very faint rub marks on side 1(not audible) Sleeve very good+ front looks great, back as some dis-colouring due to age (stain in bottom right corner) inner sleeve very good. considering it's age this is a great genuine original copy, that plays perfectly.I played it through today and it was fantastic. 60s soul had sound of its own and as never again been recreated successfully. You just can not recreate the great "Muscle shoals rhythm section" sound today. If you were a teenager in the 60s you will know what I mean. There you are it is what it is, nothings perfect. if you need any further info please let me know.
tracks:side 1- In the midnight hour / Teardrops will fall /Take a little love /For better or worse /I found a love /That's a man's way side 2: I'm gonna cry / Don't fight it / Take this love i've got / Come home baby /I'm not tired /Lets kiss and make up.
I would recommend that all records be cleaned with a record cleaning fluid and cloth or record cleaning anti static brush, before playing to remove any light dust, before playing. This will give the best performance.
I now test play my records before putting them up for sale and they are played on a good quality portable record player with a good stylus. This is basically a modern type of machine that early 7 inch singles were mostly played on and taking into consideration that most of my records are now 40 to 50 years old, I think it gives the best indication of how they should sound.
Be assured, If any of the photographs show any small markings on the record, it is only dust or a light flair from the camera flash. None of the records being sold here have any known scratches (if there are any marks or scratches they will be listed on the individual sales page).
Some records may have a few very fine markings from sleeve wear. This is normal on older vinyl but is not generally audible. It is from removing and replacing the record in the sleeve and most older vinyl will pick up some of these faint marks during their lifetime, they are visible under very strong light.
If you do have any issues with the record please contact me.
If you require any more information or a more detailed description of any item, please contact me via Ebay message system, I will gladly provide any further information or pictures you may require.
Guide to record grading and condition:
MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or unplayed should be Mint.
EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played (light surface marks), but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.
VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.
GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.
FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.
The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.
THIS IS A GENERAL CONDITION GUIDE AND RECORDS OFTEN FALL BETWEEN TWO CATEGORIES . I TRY TO BE FAIR IN MY JUDGEMENT. IF HOWEVER THE RECORD DOES NOT IN YOUR OPINION LIVE UP TO MY OWN. I WILL GLADLY GIVE A NO QUIBBLE REFUND.
