It is astounding that Cameron Winter, at the time of writing at least, is just 24 years old. His vocal style belongs to a body and mind at least twice his age, lyrics perhaps even more senior. A poetic, deeply emotionally intelligent storyteller whose instrumentation is similarly advanced. He's also already found time to lead one of the most talked about bands of our time, Geese, and put out a few solo gems in the past couple of years. At least some of which are found on this spellbinding live album which exemplifies the level of talent we are talking about. Songs taken from his lone efforts, the album Heavy Metal and the EP Singles, here rendered as heartfelt, concert hall-filling piano-led versions that truly show the artist to be the timeless powerhouse performer we all knew he was, but arguably took until this point to fully see.
