Original 1979 US stereo release on Park Avenue Records (catalog # P.A. 82801, clear vinyl).

A nearly perfect copy of this classic Northwest US punk record, clear vinyl pressing on Park Avenue Records from 1979. Vinyl, inner sleeve and textured jacket are all very close to brand new. This is one of the greatest rock records of all time -- hard rock meets psychedelic meets punk -- and a huge influence on all grunge bands most notably Nirvana, who covered two songs from this LP.

Trouser Press Review: Led by singer/guitarist Greg Sage, Portland, Oregon's Wipers began as a trio playing heavy rock that mixed high velocity and volume to obscure songs with introspective and intelligent lyrics. Is This Real? is a case in point. Raw, abrasive and hard-hitting, it's come to be considered such a touchstone in Northwest punk/grunge history that Sub Pop reissued it (adding the three non-LP B-sides from "Alien Boy" ) fourteen years later, after Nirvana covered not one, but two, of its songs.
