Description

WIRE

"154"

Warner Brothers     BSK 3398

1979

First US pressing of this classic British first wave punk band.  Colin Newman shines and this is considered one of their finest albums.  This copy is really nice.  The disc is EX (it looks like it has never been played) and the covers are VG+ to VG++.  The wear is slight and considering this is basically a quite cover with standard slickness, the small bit of wear is unusual.  I've seen sealed copies with more wear.  It's a great LP.  This copy is, of course, vinyl and a first pressing so the sound is not only excellent but if DIFFERENT from later reissues.  The CD compresses the original sound and later special vinyl pressings still "cleaned up" the sound.  Other copies on eBay now are priced higher.  That's for sure.

Stored vertically in a smoke free environment for 37 years.
