Description
The Beatles * WITH THE BEATLES * UK MONO LP
1969 PRESSING PMC 1206
XEX 447-7N Stampers 318/GTH
XEX 448-7N Stampers 817/RRO
Background to this particular pressing
Having been a collector for many years it has become apparent that this 1969 mono version
Was pressed on thinner vinyl, with Very high stamper numbers,
And period 1968/69 inner sleeve in a Thinner card cover.
It is unclear and undocumented as to why the labels still show 'parlophone co' rim text
One theory is that instead of printing a new label batch (1 box emi)
Emi used up left over stock!
However my thought is an oversight on the reprint and not changing text to Gramophone co
As the labels do look smoother and shinier than the earlier labels
There are NO mono versions showing 'gramophone co' rim text
Or on the 1 box emi label
This was purchased with my recently sold help & revolver 69' mono versions
Cover: Good
There are NO seam splits or Any writing
Some damage and a piece missing from lower flipback
Otherwise an easy excellent
Record Visual: Near Mint
A superb Mono disc that displays only a few light hairlines to each side
Record Audio: Near Mint
There are NO skips, jumps, clicks, or pops!
A stunning late mono player!
Very quiet between tracks and run-ins
Centre Labels: Near Mint
NO tax coding
Inner Sleeve: Near Mint
The Emi advert inner has NO seam splits or Any writing
All records are VPI Typhoon cleaned and placed in new anti-static inners and poly outers prior to dispatch
Records are professionally packed and removed from original inner sleeve and main cover to avoid any splitting in transit
