I have been collecting UK Beatles albums for more than 45 years and have accumulated more than 1000 UK Beatles albums alone! Here on offer, from a collection that I purchased about 10 years ago, an original early  UK pressing of With The Beatles 1963 recording and released in 1963! This pressing features the scarce to find  -6N-6N matrix variation with the K.T. tax code stamped on side 2.   Beatles UK  pressings in top condition with decent near mint audio quality are becoming extremely scarce to find especially like this being over 50 years old! Also I must emphasize that the cover and labels has the un-corrected track listing for 'You Really Got A Hold On Me'   Please Note: It is important to note that this item is being sold for its collectability and stunning audio quality rather than for its overall condition! There is general wear and tear with age and use. Please note! The vinyls playing surface is very nice and clean, importantly there are no marks that cause any interference in the form of any loud constant clicks or pops during the absolutely stunning top audio through out!  It is quite obvious that the vinyl has been played but there are no audio sounding marks on the vinyl that would cause any loud constant clicks or pops and certainly no skips or jumps during the audio! Please note! Any who know that my main interest in vinyl is the audio quality. I have all of the many Matrix variations for this album that I know exist. This particular copy is up there with one of the best that I have heard of this scarce and hard to find variation.  Play tested three times on a top system prior to this listing using a dedicated mono cartridge!

This album is totaly complete with the original poly lined Emitex record sleeve and original 1st issue Garrod & Lofthouse flipback cover!

This album was the second album to be released by the Beatles in the UK in 1963 and of course a classic! So as you can imagine many are found played to death and are found badly scratched with nasty distortion.

To find a copy like this after 47 years is becoming extreemely difficult to find! Please look at my completed listings of records that I have sold of this calaber and you will see that I normally get it right! 

With the Beatles' second British album, recorded four months after the band's first album and released on 22 November 1963!

The album features eight original compositions (including the first by George Harrison) and six covers, mostly of Motown and R&B hits. Most of the songs from the album were released in the United States on Meet the Beatles! on 20 January 1964!

The LP had advance orders of a half million and sold another half million by September 1965 ó making it the second album to sell a million copies in the UK (the first being the South Pacific soundtrack). It stayed at the top of the charts for 21 weeks, displacing Please Please Me, so that the Beatles occupied the top spot for 51 consecutive weeks. It even reached number eleven in the "singles charts" (because at the time UK charts counted all records sold, regardless of format)!

 THE VINYL

This original 50 year old vinyl, on initial inspection of the playing surface looks superb and lays perfectly flat on the turntable. This is free of any warping. Only in strong light I notice very tiny light surface marks mainly scuffs to mention,, fortunately nothing that would cause any real noticeable interference during the audio! Any other marks that there could possibly be would be light whispy sleeve removal/scuffs  only! At least no marks that would cause any loud constant clicks or pops during the audio! (Please note this is the original thick , heavy and chunky slab of vinyl only found like this on the earliest pressings.) The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free of any warping! Quite unbelievable to find on a Beatles record after 49 years!

 The Audio Quality

I have played this vinyl three times prior to listing, at very loud volume on a top system,, importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge! This 50 year old vinyl plays through absolutely superb throughout! One of the best sounding copies of this rare 6N 6N matrix variation that I have ever heard! The audio was crystal clear and very vibrant with that deep bassey feel , only found like this on these earliest originals! I heard (no) constant clicks or pops during the audio and importantly no distortion or signs that this has been overplayed at all! There are Certainly no skips or jumps! Even in between tracks , any surface static is extreemely minimal, quite unbeleivable to find like this after 50 years!  Amazingly even in between tracks generally this vinyl is lovely and quiet,, without the usual background surface noise that is so often heard on these early pressings. Please allow for minor isolated static tick or minor light click only that may possibly be heard only.  I would grade the audio at least excellent plus to  very near mint throughout!

An audiophile Audio archive copy never need to upgrade in my personal opinion!

Please note! I always add this disclaimer! I have given my honest opinion when describing the audio quality of this album and those who know the listings and vinyls that i sell my prime interest is the audio quality! Please allow for the odd isolated static/ticks but nothing consistent  through out the audio! This is a genuine (not) reissue vinyl that is 50 years old and would have been played on a system that is 50 years old!

Please note, this album has been stored in a case laying dormant for at least 10 years or more. A build up of dirt and dust in the grooves causes static\ crackle. A constant clean before each play is recommended. This will reduce any static and will enhance the audio quality. Points to note, I notice debrit on the playing surface after play so this will need cleaning before each play which will further enhance this audio quality.

The Labels

This is the original Yellow and Black Rough textured Parlohone labels! without ''SOLD IN THE UK............''  Across the labels.(Only early press) ''THE PARLOPHONE  CO LTD ...'' Around the label rims (only early press)  ''MADE IN GREAT BRITAIN''.! (UK PRESS ONLY)!

There is little if (no) spindle ware (the hole is perfectly round) see photo. Please note when angled to the light I notice slight grazes on the label side 1 worth to mention., in fact I only ever noticed this when taking photos and not really noticed unless looked for in my opinion.  Spidering can be seen angled in strong light  (this has obviously been played but not overplayed in my opinion! ,, definately not overplayed )

The Record Sleeve

This is the original Emitex ,poly lined record sleeve (Correct for this pressing) Becoming fragile light creasing/ staining spots /fading with age only No edge splits or tears nice condition.  Please note, THIS IS THE ORIGINAL .

The Cover

The original   UK PRESS  GARROD & LOFTHOUSE Printed. super glossy 'Un-Corrected' laminated front,  with flipbacks at the rear of the cover! Features The track "You Really Gotta Hold On Me" Later corrected to "You Really Got A Hold On Me"  There is no splits or tares!  There are some thumb creases noted on the front in the laminate and light lines at the edges but in my opinion nothing too bad at all. The rear is generally clean and free of any handwriting any marks are light only in my opinion. light crease lined at the flipbacks to mention staining or grubbyness  with age is slight only.  This cover features the track ''You Really Got A Hold On Me'  'un-corrected   This cover must grade at excellent in my opinion.
