Thank you for viewing my listings. On this site, I have decided to list records that are at least excellent\excellent plus  condition only  All of the records will be play tested at loud volume prior to listing on a top system. I will describe the audio quality as honest as possible and as I hear it. The vinyl.

This is of the thicker heavier and more robust type of vinyl with deeper grooves than the later pressings which were more flimsier The vinyl lays perfectly flat on the turntable and is free from warps.

On visual inspection the vinyl retains its original deep sheen from new and indeed looks awesome. looking under strong light there are very few surface marks\scuffs only (NO) audio sounding scratches or marks  that I can see or indeed that I heard that would cause any loud clicks or pops during the audio.  These have little if (no) effect on the audio that I heard!!!!!

The Audio Quality

 I have played this through as usual track for track prior to listing at very loud volume on a top system importantly using a dedicated mono cartridge.  The audio was clear and vibrant in fact really superbe Graded at the top throughout. I heard (no) clicks, pops ,jumps or skips during play also please note there was no background noise at all even between tracks there was just minor crackle only. I would grade the audio at least excellent plus to very near perfect in my opinion, just minor static crackle in between tracks heard only. A real deep bassy feel. 

Please note, I always add this disclaimer Please allow for minor static crackle only heard in between tracks. This vinyl is the original and 44 years old and would have been played on a 44 year old system!!!! From my personal experience of collecting beatles albums for more than 35 years you will have to go a long way to find a better pressing than this graded at the top awesome audio through out ON ALL FREQUENCIES!!!!!

The labels

 (KT taxcodes) THESE ARE EXTREMELY EARLY STAMPS

KT tax code is stamped in the middle of side1. (ONLY EARLY PRESS) This features the Parlophone labels, ''recording 1st published..''  and ''Made in Great Britain'' (only EARLY UK press) also ''The Parlophone Co....'' is featured around the label rim (only EARLY Press) ''You Really got a Hold On Me'' is correctly spelt on side 2.(corrected press) Amazingly I can just barely see a handful of spider marks only. In my opinion this vinyl looks barely ever played. Very rare to find like this. 

The record inner sleeve

This is the original ''emitex'' sleeve with ''important'' (only original press) Becoming fragile with age there is some creasing and staining with age. Please note! this is very fragile and is now stored separately from the vinyl!!!!!

The cover

Another rarity to add to this album is the Garrod & Lofthouse printed laminated flipback cover!!!(in exceptional condition) There are (no) splits or tears!!!! There is minor storage wear to talk of  The spine and edges are superb and the writing ''The Beatles'' can clearly be seen (see Photo) the rear is exceptionally clean only when scrutinised, I can see slight scuff mark to left and minor crease only  (these normally become very grubby and stained) This is exceptional with very very limited amount at all (see photo)  The cover holds the CORRECTED  spelling of the title track ''You really got a hold on me'' A TRULY SUPERB EXAMPLE. Must grade at least excellent in my opinion.

I have tried to be as honest and to describe all aspects of this album to the best of my ability and this is my honest opinion Of course every one has different opinions especially when it comes down to music. I have provided a few pictures so that all aspects of this exceptionally rare album can clearly be seen. Please do not underestimate the rarity of this album!! you don't see many of these about
