Description
Pr0m0 issue of this monstrously rare and CLASSIC slab of West Coast guitar psychedelia – the Wizards from Kansas, from 1968. Vinyl plays EXCELLENT with no surface noise. There’s also a tear on the front cover, which has been (poorly) “repaired” (see pic). That being said, the cover’s in nice shape otherwise, with all seams intact and a fairly small amount of ringwear for a mostly black cover. The music, of course, is phenomenal – very much in the Haight/Ashbury tradition of Jefferson Airplane and It’s a Beautiful Day, even going so far as to include the San Francisco Fillmore staple “Codine”, here given a much slower and psychier rendition than usually heard. “High Flying Bird” is a classic, and the band’s best known song, while “Freedom Speech” cranks up the fuzz and, for me, represents the band’s toughest, and finest, moment. A delirious psychedelic mind-melter of the highest degree. Winning bidder pays $4.50 for media mail shipping plus tracking in the US, $8 air mail to Canada, $14 everywhere else. Paypal, Bidpay, checks and money orders accepted. And please be sure to check out my other auctions for more vinyl obscurities, and I will combine shipping costs on multiple wins.
