ITEM: VERY Rare and In Demand LP: " Offering ", by the Carpenters. WLP Promo LP, released by A&M Records, catalog number 4205 STEREO.
COMMENTS/CONDITION: Record came from a private collection. It is not a beat up record bought at a yard sale. The record was visually graded, and was spot-checked test played. I did not play both sides from start to finish. Grading is according to Goldmine Standards. If you are not familiar with that system, please go to the Goldmine web site and read the grading details BEFORE YOU BID.
Vinyl is in VG+ condition, retaining a nice high gloss luster. A few wispy scuffs/hairlines can be see that are cosmetic only. There are no deep scratches, chips, cracks, or excessive groove wear. All short segments that I spot checked played well with occasional soft surface noise. No skips, groove lock, or harsh surface noise.
Labels are in very good condition also, with no writing, peeling edges, or stains. There is a small 1/4 inch by 1/2 inch spot of adhesive, and a much smaller spot on side 1 where apparently 2 stickers had been removed. Center hole remains perfectly round with no signs of abusive playing.
Inner sleeve is plain white paper.
Cover is in Strong VG to VG+ condition with crisp colors and sharp graphics/pictures. No bent over corners. The edges have minor shelf wear and there is a 2 inch split in the center of the bottom seam. The front cover has light rub wear and a small crease line in the paper slick on the left side. Back panel has minor ring wear/age spotting, and a Promo Sticker on the top left corner. There are two small spots of bubbling under the paper slick at the opening edge. All seams are strong with no splits. Spine is straight and firm and is easily readable. This is not a cut-out - no punch holes, notches, or clipped corners.
To compensate for the cosmetic flaws mentioned above, I have listed this sought after LP at a very low price in a Fixed Price auction. Don't Sleep on This One. Place your bid TODAY, before another member buys it!
