Description
For the next few weeks I will be listing 45s from a single collection I bought at a local auction. It is obviously a DJ/radio station/juke box service person collection - all the 45s are from 1968 - 1972, they are mostly white label promos, and they are all in NM-M condition, with many looking unplayed. Most play without any surface noise at all. Also, they are almost all Soul - Blues - R&B - Funk by Black artists. I will be adding in a few other choice 45s I picked up over the last couple years and have decided not to keep. Dealing with returns is a real drag, so I try to describe things as accurately as possible - usually on the conservative side. I never grade a record Mint, and I won't list a record that looks worse than VG. I don't own a record cleaner. I give them a quick wipe with a damp cloth, but any further cleaning I leave to the buyer.
THIS LOT: White label promo Volt VOA-4052 single sided 45 "LOVE CHANGES" by Charlene and The Soul Serenaders. Reverse side blank. Company sleeve.
CONDITION: NM (I never grade Mint) full original gloss, no scratches or other marks. Minimal surface noise. Company sleeve Ex.
US SHIPPING: Free shipping via Media Mail for one or two 45s packaged together. Expedited shipping will be available at the buyer's expense.
INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING: Any package valued less than $100 via First Class International Package - $14. Any package valued $100 or more MUST go Priority International WITH INSURANCE - $25. I will not mail an international package valued $100 or more without insurance.
TO ALL BUYERS: If there's a problem, contact me. I'm easy to work with. I may goof things up once in a while, but I've always been able to work out any problems. All items guaranteed to be AS DESCRIBED. Check my feedbacks. Buyer must notify seller within 48 hours if not satisfied with purchase.
I was asked if this is a vinyl or styrene record. I wasn't aware there was a difference in some 45s. After checking a site on Google I was able to send this reply:
"Ya learn something new every day, right? I went on Google and found a Steve Hoffman Music Forum site where the guys were discussing the topic. Based on what I found there, I THINK this is a vinyl record. The "groove" part of the surfaces is very glossy, like an LP. Some of the other 45s in this lot are just as unused as this one and play without surface noise, but are nowhere near as glossy. The labels on this record appear to be stamped on rather than glued on, and the vinyl is indented around the center hole. Is there anything else I should look for?"
If you have any other questions, please ask as soon as possible. Give me some time to be sure before I respond.
