Description
1966 Prism Records PR-1966, Various Artists garage rock sampler. Great teen garage rock compilation from Dayton, Ohio featuring The Travelers, Juletta's Valiants, Jerry and the Others, Citations, The Warlocks (with Rick Derringer), The Vondells, The Xcellents, The Forvms, The Raging Winds, Dawks, The Harrisons, and The Gillian Row. Most of the songs here are garage rock but there are also a few other genres covered including a surf/vocal and soul song. Cover is vg, strong seams, sticker residue on front, ringwear, one corner crease. The record visually grades g+ with scuffs and scratches but nothing deep enough to feel with a fingernail. Side one play grades in the vg/vg+ range. Side two plays with A LOT of surface noise and play grades vg-. Worth the price of admission just for Jerry and the Other's killer garage punk tune "Don't Cry to Me." Great comp! I also have the 1966 Hillside Records garage comp currently listed.
