Billy Woods and Kenny Segal have spent four years apart but that separation has yielded a magnificently realised new rap album. The restraint required to not simply make Hiding Places 2 speaks to the integrity of both artists. Where that debut collaboration was claustrophobic and inward-facing, this is expansive and restless and an album about displacement and longing.
