Description
this is a Very Rare original 1st pressing 10" 33rpm FOLKWAYS Lp #FP-11 pressed in 1950: WOODY GUTHRIE-"Talking Dust Bowl". the deadwax says FP-11 as does the label and jacket cover.
the jacket is a very thick blue pebbled cardboard in VG++ condition. slight stain at the bottom of the pasted on white label on the front and a 4"-5" split at the left spine. the front and back pebbled surfaces are excellent.
this record has been play graded. despite numerous shallow surface scratches seen by eye this record plays VG to VG+ overall with some low level noise throughout which is not distracting. side 2 plays better than side 1.
included is a very rough booklet that came with the 1st printing with notes by WOODY GUTHRIE and John Asch and 1930s photos by the FSA and stills from the movie "The Grapes of Wrath". the booklet includes the words to all the Guthrie songs on this record. the booklet alone is a rare collector's piece.
