Please note! I have decided to list this extremely rare and very scarce original album for its collectability rather than for its condition. These originals very rarely ever come up for sale.WOW what a great album! Very few originals were pressed and available at all any that do surface for sale is very rare indeed and very collectable! Please do not expect anything other than described. This is sold for its collectability. There is general wear and tear on the cover as seen in the photos and surface marks noted on the vinyl, but having said that this vinyl is still a very enjoyable and playable in my opinion. At least I thoruoughly enjoyed listening to this album. There are noticable interferance noted with some scuff noises and isolated ticks or pop here and there. Importantly I have recorded this record for you to hear and judge for yourself.

Your browser does not support the audio element.Writing on the Wall were a Scottish rock band of the late 1960s and early 1970s who became a popular live act in the United Kingdom]
The group originally formed as the Jury, changing their name to Writing on the Wall in early 1968.
The band's manager, Brian Waldman, moved the group to London and let the band perform at his club, the Middle Earth.
That same year, the band recorded a BBC radio session for disc jockey John Peel and made a live demo album as well.
They eventually recorded their lone album, The Power of the Picts in 1969, for Waldman's Middle Earth label.
In 1971, the band did another session for John Peel and made an LP in Scotland that was never released in 1972, then went through several line-up changes. The group tried to record another album in Wales near the end of 1973, but gave up when their equipment was stolen in December of that year

This STEREO album was released on the rare MIDDLE EARTH label (UK) in 1969 with reference number MDLS 303

The vinyl
Thick heavy and chunky original slab. No warps and lays perfectly flat on the turntable. There is surface marks, scuffs and scratches noted.
The labels
These are the original Middle Earth labels spidering can be seen angled to the light. Little if no spindle wear. The hole is perfectly round.
The Audio
A playable copy but does have some noticable interferance mainly at the intros to side 1 and 2 most of the record plays well and I found this awesome album very enjoyable despite the noted interferance.
Please remember that this record is the original and 53 years old and has been obviously well played but it does play without distortion in my opinion. And obviously very collectable and sought after.

Plain white poly lined die cut sleeve.
The cover
There is obviously many creases and wear and tear with age wear around the edges. The top and bottom edge has been clear taped at some point. This is the original 1st UK issue. very frail with wear and tear with age.
