Here is a 1st pressing of "The Wall" by Pink Floyd. Played only twice in last 15 years. Stored in smoke free and pet free environment. 

1st pressing with picture labels in gatefold sleeve.

Inner sleeves also feature the "Wall" design with lyrics (graphics by Gerald Scarfe). 


Specific to the first issue sleeve: 

Band members are not listed on the inside cover. It only says "Words and Music - Roger Waters. Except..." and "Produced By David Gilmour, Bob Ezrin, Roger Waters". Re-pressings added band member credits and had other minor alterations. 

No bar code on the back cover. 

The Wall is cream coloured, not true white. The bricks on the front cover are not aligned right to the bottom of the cover on the outside or inside.

Mastered at The Mastering Lab (LosAngeles, CA, USA). 

Recorded at Superbear (Miravel, France),Producers Workshop (Los Angeles, CA, USA) & C.B.S. (New York, NY,USA) between April and November 1979. 

The Wall is the eleventh album by English rock band Pink Floyd. It was released as a double album on 30 November 1979, by Harvest Records in the United Kingdom and by Columbia Records in the United States. It received an initially mixed critical response, though was commercially successful, reaching number 3 on the UK Albums Chart, and topping the US Billboard 200 chart for 15 weeks. The album is considered one of the most recognisable concept albums.[4] It is the band's second best selling album (after The Dark Side of the Moon) and one of the best selling albums of all time. In 1982, it was adapted into a feature film of the same name.

Bass guitarist and songwriter Roger Waters conceived the album as a rock opera during Pink Floyd's 1977 In the Flesh Tour, when his frustration with the audience became so acute that he spat on them. Its story, which follows themes of abandonment and personal isolation, explores Pink, a character whom Waters modeled after himself and the band's original leader Syd Barrett. Pink's life begins with the loss of his father during the Second World War, and continues with abuse from his schoolteachers, an overprotective mother, and the breakdown of his marriage; all contribute to his eventual self-imposed isolation from society, represented by a metaphorical wall. The band, who were then struggling with personal and financial difficulties, supported the idea. Waters enlisted an outside collaborator, Canadian producer Bob Ezrin, due to his need for somebody who he felt was "musically and intellectually" similar to himself, as well as a helping hand for the cumbersome amount of material that was written. Recording lasted from December 1978 to November 1979, with stops in France, England, New York, and Los Angeles. Waters' song "Another Brick in the Wall, Part 2" became the band's first and only chart-topper when released as the album's lead single. Two songs co-written by guitarist David Gilmour, "Run Like Hell" and "Comfortably Numb", were also issued as singles.

The Wall remains the last studio album released with the 11-year-spanning line-up of Waters, Gilmour, keyboardist Rick Wright, and drummer Nick Mason. Wright was unceremoniously fired from the band by Waters during its production, but stayed as a salaried musician, performing with Pink Floyd on their subsequent live tour. The live performances, which were later released as a live album, featured elaborate theatrical effects. Some of the album's themes would be continued in the band's next album, The Final Cut (1983), which contained some outtakes from The Wall. By 1999, the album had sold over 23 million RIAA-certified units (11.5 million albums), making it the third-highest certified album in the US.[5] In 2003, Rolling Stone placed The Wall at number 87 on its list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time".

GRADING SYSTEM (Goldmine scale with in-between grades added):  

Mint [M], or Still Sealed [SS]: Only sealed records will be deemed "Mint".

 

Near Mint [NM]: The record shows no obvious sign of wear, appearing unplayed. An LP jacket has no creases, folds, seam splits or any other noticeable similar defect. No cut-out holes, either. Basically, Near Mint looks as if you just got it home from a new record store and removed the shrink wrap.

 

Near Mint Minus [NM-], and [VG++]: Same as above, yet shows only faint paper scuffs on the surface only. A VG++ record will just have more than NM- and less than VG+. No noise from scuffs will be heard unless from the pressing itself (in which most of the time is the case. Rarely does vinyl have no noise). VG++ is for an LP with only a medium amount of paper scuffs, still no effect on play besides that of the pressing itself (no loud pops nor skips).

Very Good Plus [VG+]: Shows some signs that it was played and otherwise handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Record surfaces may show some slight signs of wear and may have slight scuffs or very light scratches that don't affect one's listening experience. Slight warps that do not affect the sound are OK yet will be noted. Besides light background noise, a VG+ record should have no loud pops nor skips. An LP jacket my have slight signs of wear also and may be marred by a cut-out hole, indentation or corner indicating it was taken out of print and sold at a discount. In general, if not for a couple of minor things wrong with it, this would be Near Mint. All but the most mint-crazy collectors will find a Very Good Plus record highly acceptable.

Very Good [VG]: Many of the defects found in a VG+ record are more pronounced in a VG disc. Surface noise is evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during the song's intro and fade, but will not overpower the music otherwise (no skips). Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as will light scratches deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound. Labels may be marred by writing, or have tape or stickers (or their residue) attached. The same will be true of picture sleeves or LP covers. However, it will not have all of these problems at the same time, only two or three of them. A VG- grading is when a record has even more wear and noise, but still plays with no skips.

Good [G], Good Plus [G+]: My lowest level, I do not list below this level unless exceptionally rare: A record in Good or Good Plus condition can be put onto a turntable and will play through without skipping. But it will have significant surface noise and scratches and visible groove wear. A jacket or sleeve has seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object. 

 

Poor [P], Fair [F]: I do not list records in this category with skips, cracks and/or noise that prevents the enjoyment of the music.
