Description
Original WWII Pepsi-Cola “Voice Letter” recorded message home from a U.S. Army soldier training at Fort Knox, Kentucky in 1943. These special discs were created during World War II to boost morale, allowing service members to record a short voice message and mail it home as a letter.
This example includes everything originally mailed:
✅ Original 6" spoken-record disc with soldier’s handwriting
✅ Original mailing envelope with address and WWII postage
✅ Postmark showing military mailing (“FORT”)
✅ Pepsi-Cola “Notice of Receipt” card dated October 9, 1943
✅ Handwritten soldier information: Pvt. J. E. Faulkner – ARTC (Army Training Center), Fort Knox, KY
The record does show age wear and cracking (see photos) and may not be suitable for playback without professional archival transfer. Envelope and paperwork show expected handling from wartime postal use but are intact and readable.
