In 1946 Jim Bullet invited Wynonie Harris to his studio to record some jump blues. Wynonie brought with him a young pianist / composer named Herman "Sonny" Blount, who was later to be known as Sun Ra. They recorded two singles. Theses are two of the recordings made that day. These are the first studio recordings of Sun. Ra.
Record has a few light scratches and one or two moderate scratches which cause an audible "pop" for 3 or 4 revolutions on the "B" side. Plays with no skips or stuck grooves. "A" side has faint writing on label. Plays well. Grades V+

I use standard VJM 78 record grading method with grades of: E+, E, E-, V+, V, V-, G+, G, G-, and P in descending order. records at V and above are enjoyable while those at V- to G are tolerable. I do not grade 78's at M or M-. G- and P records are only listed if they are extremely rare of of significant historical value. Domestic shipping is by USPS Media Mail.
