Description
This is the original, deluxe edition on 19 LPs plus a hard-bound book with notes, libretti and photos - almost 200 pages. The LPs are all in inner sleeves, then individual slip cases, then separated in cardboard cases by opera, and finally in a large outer slipcase holding all four operas and the book. I have saved the best for last - only 3 of the LPs have been played, just once each with a Shure V15-4 cartridge set at 2 grams. I prefer to tape an LP album, especially one of this importance, so as to minimize the wear on the vinyl. Well, my Revox A77 stopped recording on one channel after the 3 LPs, so I stopped the LPs and bought the CD version. My loss (in sound quality) is your gain!
