Wagner's masterpiece that took him 25 years to complete. A pinnacle of classical operatic perfection in the breathtaking performances of the Berlin Philharmonic and the world's finest singers under the masterful direction of Herbert Von Karajan.
Mastered in world class stereo sound by Deutsche Grammophone in 1970.Sung in the origianl German language editions. Nobody does German opera like the Germans. Especially the pronunciations of the soloists and the chorus. This is Wagner as it should be.
This set includes four complete operas in individual slipcases, with a beautifully illustrated 194 page hard bound book of all five operas and libretti,in English, German, and French. They are all collected in one outer presentation case.
The records are in excellent to unplayed condition, in plastic lined sleeves. The individual cases are in good condition with some edge wear. The outer presentation case is also in good condition with some edge wear. This is the original 1970 deluxe stereo edition not a reissue.
