Description

A famous and revered recording on 5 digital stereo LPs from DG, under the stunning direction of Carlos Kleiber, with real singers in the title roles. This is as good a performance as any recorded, and, in my view, streets ahead of Bohm's rushed and thin-sounding Bayreuth recording, intense though that is.

The surfaces are excellent throughout.

West German pressings, happily, always the best from DG.

Booklet excellent and intact.

Generous postal discounts for multiple purchases.

Postal orders and cleared cheques welcome, as well as PayPal.
