Wagner Walkure Act One Knappertsbusch SXL 2074
Kirsten Flagstad, Set Svanholm and Arnold Van Mill with the Vienna Philhamonic conducted by Hans Knappertsbusch perform Act One of Wagners Opera "Die Walkurie". A two record set, this is an English stereo pressing on the Decca Label (SXL 1074-5 Stampers). The the labels are black with a Full Frequency Stereophonic Sound "fatband" and logo, Original Recording by… at 10 o’clock and a groove. There are some marks on side three and a scuff at the end of side one that do not sound, and otherwise the records are of as new appearance, and play and sound superb with a minimum of surface noise. The box and libretto are excellent. Payment by credit card, cash, or Paypal is preferred –direct debit available to Australian buyers.
