Richard Wagner's Der Ring Des Nibelungen in the original limited Decca Presentation Set:  22 LPs with Booklets / Libretto's and wooden box. UK manufactured 22 Stereo LP Boxed set of the complete edition of Richard Wagner's four part opera, 'Der Ring des Nibelungen', also known as 'The Ring Cycle' featuring the four operas 'Das Rheingold', 'Die Walkure', 'Siegfried' and 'Gotterdammerung'.

Included is the three record Introduction to 'The Ring' set narrated by Deryck Cooke featuring excerpts from the four operas.

Each opera is in its own separate wooden ended partition with full size libretto booklets containing synopsis & full transcription for the operas. The performance is simply the classic version by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Georg Solti.

The whole ensemble is enclosed in a very weighty carved wooden box with gilded front panel.

The box shows only a little wear (see photo’s and description below).

LP’s are in excellent condition. Judging from marks locating around the centre holes some records have been played once or twice others possibly not at all.

Librettos barely used just little nicks at the edges here and there.

LP covers a clean and shiny – some have begun to loose the seal at the glued edges. I guess this could easily be rectified.

On the front of the box part of the edge of the Decca Logo is a little loose at the top (could be re-glued / sorted).

And a little is missing from the right hand edge.

There is a bit or wear / scrape (particularly near the bottom of 'Das Rheingold').

Notice the (paint) at the bottom of the left hand side of the box. As this seems to be paint that has transferred to the box I guess that it could be carefully scraped back off).

If anything the photo's tend to make the damage seem worse than it really is.
