Description
Offered for Sale is a Walt Disney's "FANTASIA" 3 lp set.
An innovative and revolutionary lp, taking Western classical music masterpieces, and having Leopold Stokowski and the Philadelphia Orchestra perform them.
They include the most famous of all, Paul Dukas's "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", J.S. Bach's "Toccata and Fugue in D Minor", Tchaikovsky's "Nutcracker Suite", Stravinsky's "Rite of Spring", the delightful "Dance of the Hours" by Ponchielli, Mussorgsky's darkly apocalyptic "Night on Bald Mountain" and Beethoven's "The Pastoral Symphony".
It is on the Disney's Buena Vista record label with the LP # STER 101.
This is the 1964 reissue, 3 Record Gatefold set, with the ORIGINAL inner sleeves. (plain white) The 24 page booklet is still attached inside.
This LP had never been played, (till now) but as a PROMO I received it open. I play tested it and can say 100% that the record is primo.
Never the less, after 35 to 45 years of shifting around in boxes, wear does occur, so PLEASE check the photos for a clear picture of what you will be receiving. I do not rate covers, only the vinyl itself. Also, there may be minor scuffing marks, from the inner sleeve. This IN NO WAY affects the sound, or I would not list it. There is also the possibility that the inner sleeve could have a slit on one or more of its sides.
NOTE: I was a buyer for two different record chains in Hollywood, Ca. As such, I received a couple of boxes of records a week, to entice me to buy. More often than not, they were always open copies, and if you wanted to sell them to a used record store you could only get about a $1.00 cash, or $2.00 in trade for them.
