Description
Wardell Gray ( with Al Haig, Art Farmer, Hampton Hawes, Tommy Potter, Teddy Charles, Sonny Criss, Clark Terry, etc.) WARDELL GRAY MEMORIAL Vol. 1. Prestige 7008, recorded 1949-52. Gold and black deep groove original mono. W. 50th Street address. “RVG” stamped into the wax. Glossy hard laminated jacket is NM-: one corner has grayed slightly, and 2 GIANT rubber stamps from wholesale are still on the reverse, but this LP is largely as it was sold in 1955. Disc looks NM-, and plays E+ overall. Small whispers from time to time, though at least some of those are from the disc-source originals. Excellent sound clarity. Includes original catalog inner sleeve.
