Wayne Shorter - Speak No Evil
Catalog # Blue Note - BST 84194
1966 USA Stereo 1st pressing. Plastylite "ear" is present in both of the run out grooves, as well as the Van Gelder stamp.
Dead wax Side A = "ear" BNST - 84194 A VAN GELDER
Dead wax Side B = "ear" BNST - 84194 B VAn GELDER
Media; Side A = VG. Side B = VG+. Despite the VG grade, there are really only a few things visually that make me call it VG, rather than VG+. Both sides have a few light angel hairs, but very, very few. Side A has a few light marks that can just BARELY BE FELT, but did not affect play on my system. Both sides played through without anything near an actual skip, and the only major thing I found was a light rev tick that lasts roughly 15 seconds during the middle of track 3. Side. B is gorgeous, and a solid VG+ visually. Toward the last track on side B there were 3 light ticks that did not overpower the music, and other than that Side B was super, super solid. A BEAUTIFUL listen, and man, how good is the track Dance Cadaverous?
Sleeve = G+. There is some significant wear throughout this sleeve. Former owner's initials(?) on the top right hand corner in blue Bic pen on the back. Light ring wear, and a few slivers of scotch tape are taped to the top of the sleeve that someone tried to stem a 2 inch seem split with. Light spine wear on the top, and bottom, but the actual spine is fine. Still looks fine in a sleeve. Please scope out the pics!!!
