But none of these countless singers and musicians who appear on our program is any finer than PTL’s own Wayne Stubbs. A native of Miami, Florida, Wayne has always been interested in music. He sang at dinner spots on Miami Beach and studied light opera before accept- ing Jesus Christ as his Saviour in 1972 while singing onboard a cruise ship. He and his lovely wife Judy joined the PTL staff in February 1975. Both Wayne and Judy continue in vital positions at PTL: he is Assistant Director of Counseling and she is Assistant Producer of the “PTL Club.” Wayne's first album “One Day At A Time” is appropriately named after the song which is his most requested number at the “PTL Club.” That particular song and this wonderful album demonstrate why Wayne Stubbs has thrilled PTL viewers from coast- to-coast. Just recently on the program, a guest commented on Wayne's outstanding baritone voice. “Why, he's the 'Perry Como of Christian broadcasting'.” the person suggested. That remark typifies the great reception Wayne has received from our guests and viewers. I've personally called him “our Ambassador of Goodwill” at PTL because of that tremendous response. I know you will enjoy this excellent album since it contains some of Wayne's best songs, like the Andrae Crouch number, “Through It All.” But I also know you will be thrilled with Wayne's inspiring singing of “Greater Is He That Is In Me” which is based on 1 John 4:4. Two of my personal favorites on this album are a tender rendition of “What A Friend” and a thrilling version of “To God Be The Glory.” After hearing Wayne Stubbs sing on this exciting album, I know you'll agree with me that he's one of America's finest gospel singers.
