This BOX SET contains 5 vinyls with one track per side. 2017 marks the 40th anniversary of the release of Paul Weller 's first album, “In The City”, released alongside JAM in May 1977. Many artists would take advantage of this to celebrate this milestone with a retrospective: luxurious re-releases and everything in between. But Paul Weller is certainly not like most artists and releases a new album, because releasing new albums is what Paul Weller does. Always looking forward, averse to nostalgia-operations in an almost clinical way and never looking at his successes in the rearview mirror. And so, drawing on his inexhaustible creative streak, Paul Weller releases his 13th solo album entitled "A Kind Revolution" on May 12, on Parlophone Records label. The musicians are the faithful ones ever with Andy Crofts and Ben Gordelier at the forefront . Steve Cradock and Steve Pilgrim also play on several songs. The opening track “Woo Sé Mama” sees soul legends PP Arnold & Madeleine Bell offer their signature vocals, while the one and only Boy George sings in the funky “One Tear”. Paul also managed to find the legendary Robert Wyatt from his well-deserved rest to make him sing and play the trumpet in “She Moves With The Fayre”. And finally, once again, we find Strypes guitarist Josh McClorey with his magical touch in 3 songs.
