Description
This auction DOES include the sleeve pictured. The insert is NOT included. It is only pictured to show that Chris Cornel is on the album credits. The record and sleeve in the pictures are the ones you will receive. Please see scans of the vinyl for condition. The record appears to be in near mint condition with no noticeable scratches. The sleeve is also in very good condition with some edge and corner wear. The sleeve folds over rather than having 3 out 4 edges closed and slide the record in the open edge like a traditional record sleeve. I spoke with another person who owns the album and they confirmed that the sleeve on theirs simply folded over too. Please ask any questions if you need more info or want more scans
You are bidding on an extremely rare 7 inch record by The Center for Disease Control Boys. The vinyl and sleeve are 100% original and a first and only pressing. This was one of Chris Cornell's first ever releases. He was credited on the album for drums and vocals. The music is quite different from the Seattle grunge sound but it is great piece of Cornell history.
Band info: The band was a Western swing band formed in Seattle in 1986. The band was only in existence for six months, but they are noteworthy for their ever-changing lineup of musicians and performers which included Chris Cornell of Soundgarden, Jonathan Poneman, founder of Sub Pop Records, and Ben McMillan, lead singer for Skin Yard and Gruntruck.
