Description

Wes Montgomery "Incredible Jazz Guitar" Riverside Mono LP

Label: Riverside PLP 12-320 (Original Blue & Silver Mono)
Matrix Etching Side A: ABM 4-18-60 RLP-12-320A
Matrix Etching Side B: 4-18-60 RLP-12-320B
Pressing Date: 1960
Cover Condition: VG+
LP Condition: VG+ (Close to NM)

Notes: The LP is amazing - little to no surface noise, Excellent sheen & immaculate label. The only reason it's not an NM is that there is some light paper scuffs that take away from the visual appearance. The jacket has an excellent spine and edges. The corners are a little rounded and the bottom right corner has some bend marks. Also, there is 3" of light ink writing on the top back edge. It's still a great cover.

Buyer to pay $5.00 for shipping and handling (more overseas). This price includes a heavy corrugated box and Priority Mail shipping via USPS. It is in my best interest to see that these records get to their buyer in the same condition that they were sent. Insurance is optional, but recommended and will be actual cost. Records will be sent in paper sleeves outside of the LP jacket. Sealed plastic sleeves will cover both record and sleeve. This LP comes from a much larger collection that will be listed in batches in the coming months. Please keep an eye on my listings. If you live in the Chicago area and would like to come by to examine this LP, an appointment can be made to do so.

AMG Review: This is one of Wes Montgomery's greatest recordings, a classic that really alerted the world about the talents of the guitarist. In a quartet with pianist Tommy Flanagan, bassist Percy Heath, and drummer Albert Heath, Wes introduced his originals "West Coast Blues"; "Four on Six"; and "D-Natural Blues"; performed his "Mister Walker"; and stretched out on "Airegin"; the ballad "Polka Dots and Moonbeams"; "In Your Own Sweet Way"; and "Gone With the Wind."
