Description
Here is an exceptionally rare artifact. It's a three-song acetate by the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band, cut at Universal/Radio Recorders Studios in Hollywood. The handwritten notes on the sleeve indicate that it was handed to Reprise by Bob Markley in February of 1969, possibly just prior to the label dropping the band. It contains three tracks that would appear later that year on the Amos Records LP Where's My Daddy, but listed under different titles. The tracks are actually "Outside/Inside," "Give Me Your Lovething" and "Two People"—all identical to the versions on the subsequent LP. The alternate titles on the labels (see pic #2 above) suggest that Markley was submitting them for consideration on a movie soundtrack. The 10" disc is in very strong VG condition with some light scuffs on the play surface. It plays nicely throughout, with some crackle and pop. See pics above!
