Description

"(What's The Story) Morning Glory", Oasis double vinyl LP Creation LP189 - both records and sleeve in Ex+/Ex+ condition. Lost wax bears hand-written marks CRE LP 189 A1/B1/C2/D2.

I will be selling Oasis's first three albums this weekend. I have owned 'What's The Story' since it came out. I have to admit that the band's recorded sound - overdriven amps and compression - did not appeal to my delicate ears, so the record has hardly been played since. But on playing it this morning I was reminded of what a fantastic, galvanising effect it had on both the public and music. I have recently processed the record through my Moth cleaning machine just to make sure the discs are pristine, then packed each into a new Nagaoka sleeve to keep any dust away. The vinyl is significantly heavier than normal and glossy, but there are a couple of superficial scratches on side 2. There are no discernible spindle marks  I have play checked all four sides, and there are no audible scratches or significant crackles. And the sound is more detailed and balanced than I had thought. The gatefold sleeve has only the slightest of marks at the corners, because it has been kept stored upright in a decent record rack for all its life, and the two black inner sleeves look like new, apart from some faint ring-marking.  Time this went to a home where it will be more appreciated.

I'm offering FREE POSTAGE for buyers in the UK;  international bidders will pay a flat rate postage amount (£5) for insured AirMail. There is NO RESERVE, and the start price is set low to attract bidders on all my vinyl records - many will just cover costs.  The record will come in a high grade mailer with plenty of internal packing to protect the sleeve.  I aim to slowly sell off a large collection of rock - I carried on buying vinyl throughout the '90's, so there is lots more to come. I will also be selling jazz (several Mosaic sets) and classical (including some SXL ED-1/2/3s) over the next few months, so please come back to my auctions. Thanks for looking, and best of luck with your bidding.
