Description
‘An Electric Storm’ was the debut album by White Noise, an avant-garde electronic extravaganza and now deemed to be iconic electronic album. With the first 2 tracks originally conceived for a single release,Island convinced the group to complete an album; with the final track supposedly written and produced in one day after Island requested the album completed. Created using various tape manipulation techniques and the first British synthesizer (EMS Synthi VCS3), while not commercially successful at the time it is now seen as vitally influential in the development of the electronic genre.
This is a 1st press Island ‘Bullseye’ copy that bears further provenance in that it comes direct from the private collection of an ex-managing director at Island, accumulated at the time of release over many years.
The record itself is graded EX with minimal marks/scrapes and certainly nothing audible, while the sleeve is conservatively VG+ with glossy faces and clean labels, but minor spine wear (see pictures, one label appears white due to bright light reflection).
