Description

White Stripes - Jack White - Black Keys - The Final Package - 5 LPs & 14 Singles.

The winner of this auction will receive:

- TMR-271 - Jack White - Lazaretto (2014) - Third Man Records - First US pressing, Etched, Holographic, Ultra LP - 12” LP pressed on 180g black vinyl.

The record was pressed in the U.S. and distributed worldwide. So some copies might have different hype stickers on shrink wrap (from the country of distribution).

"Ultra LP" release featuring several special features:

· Tracks A6 and B7 are locked grooves featuring elements from their respective previous tracks. "High Ball Stepper" doesn't end with a faded-out distortion as in the digital versions, it is locked instead.

· Tracks A7 and B8 are hidden tracks pressed on their sides' labels, and play at 78 RPM and 45 RPM respectively, thus making the LP a three speed record.

· Side A's groove is inverted and plays from the inside out.

· "Just One Drink" consists of two different intros, each in its own groove, with both connecting at the body of the song. BA1 is acoustic, BB1 is electric.

· Side B has a matte finish, giving the appearance of an un-played 78 RPM record.

· Vinyl is pressed in flat-edged format.

· Dead wax area on Side A contains a hand-etched hologram by Tristan Duke of Infinity Light Science, the first of its kind on a vinyl record.

· Tracks B3 and B4 are swapped in comparison to the digital editions, and B2 features a slightly longer intro.

· The vinyl was mastered entirely from analog sources with no additional compression used.

Tracks A1 to A5 and BA1/BB1 to B6 are listed continuously from 1 to 11 and play at 33 ⅓ RPM.

Track A7 is an uncredited reworking of 'Pusherman', originally by Curtis Mayfield.

Durations unlisted, approximates obtained by digitizing the vinyl audio.

Jacket features Soft Touch aqueous coating. Record comes in die-cut black paper poly sleeve. Also included are an insert with lyrics and credits, and a digital download card for the album in MP3 format, which also shows info about the hologram.

Some copies have the same label on both sides of record.

Recorded at Third Man Studio in Nashville, TN 2012-2014

Mastered by Bob Ludwig at Gateway Mastering Studios in Portland, ME

Eight years later, this is still probably the most gimmick-heavy and strangest vinyl release in history.

This copy of the Lazaretto Ultra LP is still in its original shrink wrap, and is overall in near mint condition. I purchased the album new in June, 2014 and only listened to it straight-through one time.

At least I thought I’d listened to all of it… but I guess I missed two tracks…

The two hidden tracks, pressed on both the A & B Side labels have never been played, due to the fact my Rega RP-6 didn’t have a 78RPM setting to play the A Side track, (the B Side hidden track is playable at 45 RPM) combined with the fact that I was unaware either were even on the record until literally right now.

Whatever you do, don’t forget that Side A plays from the inside-out, or that locked groove will have you convinced that your stylus is pooched. I know I did…

The free digital download card is included with the LP. The code has never been redeemed, so it will be available for the new owner to download, if they wish.

- XLLP 151 - The White Stripes - White Blood Cells (2001) - XL Recordings - First UK Pressing - 12” LP pressed on red translucent vinyl.

The cover of this copy has two-inch splits in the centre of both the top and bottom. The printed inner sleeve has some ring wear, but is otherwise in very good condition. The vinyl is in excellent condition, free of any visible scratches.

- LP 9697 - Steven Charles Boone - Rockabye Baby! Lullaby Renditions Of The White Stripes (2013) - Rockabye Baby! Records - First US pressing - 12” LP pressed on red vinyl.

This copy is still in its original shrink wrap. The cover is in excellent condition, with only a few marks on the centre of the right edge. The inner sleeve, and unplayed vinyl are in near mint condition.

I always looked at this as a joke purchase, and never paid much mind to it, or its value, but the four copies currently listed on Discogs range from $62 - $150. I guess maybe not so much of a joke after all…

- 63881-27291-2 - The White Stripes - Walking With a Ghost (2011) - V2 Records - Unofficial release out of France - 12” EP Single pressed on standard black vinyl.

It would appear that the CD release of this EP was authorized, but the vinyl version was not. The vinyl version has been banned from the Discogs marketplace. Side A, which contains only the Tegan & Sara cover title track plays at 45RPM, while Side B, containing four older live tracks, plays at 33RPM.

The cover of this EP has a bend in the top left corner, and another smaller bend in the top left corner. A couple of groove like indents are also on the front cover. The back cover is nearly half unglued on the bottom. The vinyl is in very good condition, free of visible scratches.

- FP 1032-3 - The Black Keys - Chulahoma (2011) - Fat Possum Records - US release - 12” LP picture disc.

This copy’s vinyl picture disc is in near mint condition. To the best of my knowledge, it has never been played. The cover is a generic clear plastic sleeve, which is in very good condition, with only some minor bending of the top right corner of the front hype sticker.

- TMR 291 - Jack White - Would You Fight For My Love? (2014) - Sealed - Third Man Records - First US pressing - 7” single pressed on standard black vinyl.

Single is sealed, and in mint condition.

- TMR 013 - Jack White - Fly Farm Blues (2009) - Third Man Records - First US pressing, single sided, etched - 7” single pressed on standard black vinyl.

From the documentary film It Might Get Loud [directed by Davis Guggenheim (2009)].

Mixed at Blackbird Studios.

Side B has etching of Third Man Records logo.

Wrap around picture sleeve, plain white paper die-cut inner sleeve all contained in poly-bag.

This copy has never been played, and is in near mint condition.

- XLS 139 - The White Stripes - Hotel Yorba (2001) - XL Recordings - First UK pressing - 7” single pressed on standard black vinyl.

Top left corner of cover bent on front and back, as well as a price tag on back cover. The vinyl is in very good condition.

- XLS 223B - The White Stripes – The Denial Twist (Live 2005) - XL Recordings - First UK pressing - 7” single pressed on standard black vinyl.

- TMR 071 - The White Stripes – Merry Christmas From The White Stripes (2011) - Third Man Records - US reissue - 7” single pressed on standard black vinyl.

This copy is in near mint condition.

- SFTRI 578 - The White Stripes – The Big Three Killed My Baby (1999) - Sympathy For the Record Industry - First US pressing - 7” single pressed on standard black vinyl.

This copy is in near mint condition, and includes an official press release from XL Recordings promoting the upcoming release of the Under Blackpool Lights Live Concert DVD.

- XLS 207 - The White Stripes – Jolene from Live Under Blackpool Lights (2004) - XL Recordings - First UK pressing - 7” single pressed on standard black vinyl.

This copy has a small indent on the front cover of this excellent condition single.

- XLS 173 - The White Stripes – The Hardest Button To Button (2003) - XL Recordings - First UK pressing- 7” single pressed on standard black vinyl.

This copy is in excellent condition.

- XLS 177 - Whirlwind Heat – Pink / Fume (2004) - XL Recordings - First UK pressing - 7” single pressed on standard black vinyl.

Titles stylised as 'Pink b/w Fume' on the cover. Photo of Meg White in bunny suit on front cover.

This copy is in near mint condition.

and two final special bonuses…

- Jack White Icky Thump Era Silkscreen Mini-Poster designed by Rob Jones.

Poster has some edge wear, small bends and scratches, but is in very good overall condition.

- Extremely rare Dorothy & TinMan on Halloween Mini-Handbill sized silkscreen print. Singed by the artist, Rob Jones.

This print was ordered from Rob Jones personally, and was a part of his private collection of unused prints.

Unfortunately, the print is in less-than-perfect condition, with significant staining on the back, some small bends, and scratches in the artwork’s printed area. It is still a very exclusive, and cool addition to any White Stripes collection.

Good luck bidding on this final, and massive vinyl package!
