Description

For fans of the White Stripes, this is a piece of must-own history: a recording of their first ever full live show at the Gold Dollar in Detroit on August 14, 1997. This LP was the focal point of the Third Man Records Vault Package #13, and, as such, it's long out of print. As a Vault subscriber for years, the only releases I really ever cared about were the White Stripes ones, and so this one made me giddy. But these expensive SF apartments don't pay for themselves, so I've got to start culling the herd.
The vinyl is in near mint condition and comes on fancy limited white vinyl. Sleeve is also in practically mint condition, except for, as you can see in the photos, a couple very minor creases on the sleeve near the two top corners. In fact, if you look at them, they're not even creases, really–more like the impression of what might one day might be a crease or might not. I've bought other records brand new, in mint condition, straight from the label that were in worse shape than this LP, but I know a lot of people have very strong feelings about the immaculate condition of the sleeve, so I'm just covering my bases. They also included a replica of the original set list, ostensibly in Jack's own handwriting, as well as a replica of the original show flyer, which is cool. Incredibly important record from one of the most defining musical artists of this generation.
