Description
Willem Nyland recorded the Piano Studies Series as improvisational piano pieces and each recording is unique. Only a few of each number were printed. The sleeve is in great shape with tape added to the edges for protection at some point. The vinyl itself shows no signs of use or wear. Nyland was a chemist who had the opportunity of studying under George Ivanovich Gurdjieff. The series of recordings was issued in the mid 1960's. Richard Alpert and Ralph Metzner were said to encourage Nyland in his piano studies, who was also involved with the psychedelic movement.
